Girls Tween and Teens Yoga

Yoga for tweens and teens ages 12 to 18 who identify as girls. Susannah Everlund will teach this fun intro to Yoga based on guidelines by International Yoga Sports Federation (IYSF).  These sessions will show how Yoga can bring you body-awareness and self-confidence. Begin to cultivate simple techniques of mindfulness and meditation that can help you deal with life situations from a point of calmness and strength.

Each week we will expand on the Yoga asana sequence and breath awareness. Practicing easy mindfulness and meditation exercises to slow down the “monkey mind” and live in this moment.

Class will be for one hour in a warm room (about 80 degrees) Bring a yoga mat, a towel

and a water bottle. Wear leggings or shorts (NO sweatpants) and a loose tee-shirt or tank top.

Please arrive early to put your things away and get a spot in the yoga room. No make-

up or perfume needed, come as you are. Don’t eat right before class because it just doesn’t feel good.
